Hey guys back for another post.

Commentary: Ok so with the HFTD toys, we've seen most of these before. The only ones i might pick up if extra money comes my way are Firetrap (because i love the names and i dont have the mold), Axor (like the mold and the changes, btu the alt mode needs some detail work badly), Highbrow (wonky lower arms aside, i love both modes and the concept of this guy) and Sunspot (with Skystalker's pricpoint being a bit much for me for troopbuilding, if i see this guy around, i will buy multiples for just that reason. i love the mold and it begs to be troopbuilt). The PCC figures do little to make me want them, and anyway i can save $ so i can hit up btocon 2011, i will use. hopefully that sentence made grammatical sense. but yea. THose are the figures i like and why.
story 2: so when MP rodimus comes to the US, its probable he wont have his trailer. this is fail, even if its to cut down on costs. he's nto slated to come out until Feb 2011 in Japan so expect a US release around the end of 2011 at the earliest. still if he just comes w/o his trailer and as just the robot that changes from Rodimus to Hot rod and then to Hot Rod's alt mode, thats kind of lame. The Trailer is the whole poitn of Rodimus. Although Energon Rodimus didnt have a trailer, and thats a mildly successful toy. I'm honestly not liking this rumor, and i'm taking it with a huge grain of salt, like TFW2005 suggests.
Story #3: so Headrobots (a 3rd party company) is doing a headmaster/ guns set for universe Hardhead that apparently also woks for the g1 version and g1 Chromedome. All we've had for the longest time is prototype shots. but Seibertron.com has given use actual full color shots. I would prefer the upper part of the head to be painted something other than that cream color, because ti kinda hinders the awesometacularness of the overall head scuplt in my opinion. if i can finance it, i may just pick this up. i may wait for a review first though.

MP Rodimus news and TF3 news
see! i'm not dead!
Links:
http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/generation-1-1/masterpiece-rodimus-confirmed-to-transform-from-hot-rod-to-rodimus-prime-170491/
http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/new-videos-of-transformers-3-filming-in-chicago/19650/
Sotry #1: So, apparnelty Takara, at some recent TF event showed the painted version of MP Rodimus. OMG WIN! they've also confirmed he will have a gimmick that will cause him to "transform" from Hot Rod into Rodimus and back. So this confirms a removeable trailer and confirms intricate engineering. however, wiht this dropping only a few months after the protector armor, young collectors like myself are gonna be strapped for cash if we want ot get both. Also, they havent come anywhere close to updating the price-point so its not $200. I have all faith it will drop to around $100, but anythiong more than that, i'm waiting unitl holidays 2011 to grab it. who knows, myabe it'll be out in time for Botcon 2011, which would be epic win. anyway, this figure has received lukewarm reception so far, but i'm digging what Takara has done, i just hope he's not too pricey. btu who knows, after i stock up on stuff at botcon 2011, maybe i'll grab him and then hold back on tf3 toys (as of now the only ones i may get would be megs, soundwave, shockwave, the "wreckers", and the red Ferrari bot). wow i got off topic there. but yea. i like this news.
Story #2: speaking of the movie-verse, the second link has 2 clips some youtuber filmed of more tf3 filming in chicago. two thigns of note from these vids. 1) apparently that red and black airport style fire-truck we're seeing is Sentinel Prime. Well some security guard said i, so i cant give it too much credence. I hoep to whateverhigherpowerisupthere that this isnt sentinel prime though. Cause that such BS if it is. i just hope he gets a different charcaterization than he did in TFA cause i could nto stand his TFA charcaterization. My money is still on movieverse Inferno or Red Alert for this guy. The toy will be otu of scale to the movie, but who cares. Secondly, apparently there's at least 2 jet black SUV's in the decepticon ranks now. whoa re these guys? are they cannon fodder. Unless Bay has messed wiht TF customs and changed one's colorization (like he did making sideswipe silver), i dont see theses guys being runabout and runamuck, especially because theyrs SUV's. Were there any big decepticon cars about that size ever outside the movies? comment below.
Thanks guys, comment below with feedback and an answer to that q.

#49: Seibertron.com gives us a look a Generations Skullgrin's head. Also, WFC Cliffjumper line art thoughts
links: http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/first-look-at-generations-skullgrins-head/19578/
http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/war-for-cybertron-cliffjumper-lineart-used-in-bumblebees-instructions/18787/
Ok so at the first link we have line art of the Generations Darkmount (Straxxus) repaint/ slight remold a.k.a Skullgrin. Thats right, the g1 Pretender is getting homaged. The line art makes the head look nice, but he's still got the body of Darkmount, and will regardless of its potentially awesome repaint. That and they couldve given him a different weapon that assembled in the same way as Straxxus' does. that being said, unless i'm appalled by the color scheme, i'm gonna get this guy.
NExt up, apparently the line art for WFC Cliffjumper appears in WFC bumblee's instructions. this isnt that exciting outside of it being a clear look at the g1 goodness that WFC Cliffjumper may have. This make me very happy. this repaint/remold is bought as soon as its released.

#48:more photos of Generations Blurr, Derrick J. Wyatt unused TFA art, and the TFA encyclopedia

http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/animated-8/animated-encyclopedia-wingblade-optimus-prime-elite-guard-version-announced-170426/
Hey all, i'm finally back for anohter post. Hope you have all had a good time doing whatever it is you do recetnly. anyway, onto the post
So that first link takes you to photos of Generations drift, the repaint and re-tool of Drift coming out in wave 4. Now, Blurr's head is based off his IDW comic appearances, which is very nifty. I love the heald mold, and i've never read the comics. I'm so digging this figure, and i love the mold. Hell, i've already pre-ordered Blurr and his wave-mate Dirge from TFsource. Dirge is another classic seeker mold release that had previously been only Henkei i think, so yea. all i need for my seekers collection is any "rainmakers", classics starscream, sunstorm, ramjet and thundercracker. I love how awesome you can make blurr look wiht his one long rifle.
2nd sotry: Derrick J. Wyatt's unused TF: animated artwork. I assume he showed these at Auto asssembly, and the neatest ones for me are the one that appear to be a lion-former (making it automatically either Razorclaw or Lio Convoy (the latter is from BWII)) and the "bust" style full color drawing of Star Saber. Now i've barely seen the episodes of Masterforce and such that Star Saber was the Autobot leader, but this update to him is awesome and i wouldve loved to see how he worked into the show had it gone on. I loved the animated aesthetic, it was really well done and incredibly different from shows prior and from the movieverse and it was just great in all show aspects. but at least TF:Prime is coming out sometime soon
3rd story: TF:animated encyclopedia w/ exclusive figure. This is interesting. apparently if you order the Japan-market only Transformers encyclopedia (which i would but i can read japanese) then you get a chance of ordering an exclusive figure based off the wingblade optimus prime mold (which isnt even out yet). said figure looks to be a "Elite Guard" re-deco of the figure. I'm intrigued byt this highly and would get the toy, btu i'm not willing to spend $77 Us pre-shipping (the price of the figure converts to about $57 US) for a book i cant read and a re-deco i may not like. especially when i want to focus on the Generations line this fall and spring before botcon. I may regret this decision later, but its hard for me to get wowed by a figure we only ahve a silhouette and a rumored name for. I'm surprised Hasbro didnt do a "elite guard" repaint of TFA Prime, they did one of bumblebee (which couldnt have been more pointless).
Thats all for me this post. hope you enjoyed. as always, comment below.

#47 a minor TF Prime update
Hey all, so we;ve gotten some new-sh character photos for TF prime including a well lit one of Megatron. Link is below, but i wont be talking about all photos.
Link: http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-prime-39/new-transformers-prime-character-images-170407/
Ok so the first photo i'm commenting briefly on is the "main cast shot" which is the thumbnail for the post, which you should expand. anyway, So it appears bumblebee isnt in the core 4. interesting. Rather, the core 4 is Cliffjumper, Arcee, Ratchet an Prime. We knew the last 2 were obvious choices for main groups, but Cliffjumper and Arcee are interesting. Arcee's characterization in the movieverse sux, and while she got a fiar amount for a periphreal charater in TF Animated, i like that she's in the main group, maybe that allows her to be charcaterized smartely. we'll see, i dont know whos voicing her. Cliffjumper is an interesting choice for the main cast for sure, i'm intrigued to hear his voice and see how he is characterized. I like the look of him in both modes, and, dont worry thats one of his hands in front of Prime. I reallylike ethe look of Prime and Ratchet, the latter looks like a tough guy medic and Prime look like a powerful, ominous strong leader bot. http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attach/4/0/5/9/7/Transformers-Prime-Cast-Group_1281651540.jpg
Ok, onto the photo of Megatron (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attach/4/0/5/9/7/Transformers-Prime-Megatron_1281651540.jpg). I get a feeling of pure evil form this, maybe its the red eyes and the snarling face. that and hearing the voice Frank Welker is dogin from that clip from TFCon has me amped about this Megatron. I just love the evil aesthetic from him, that has a slight animated influence in the head, but exactly how, i cant point out.
Bumblebee: Alt mode: http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attach/4/0/5/9/7/Transformers-Prime-Bumblebee-Car-Front_1281651540.jpg Robot: http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attach/4/0/5/9/7/Transformers-Prime-Bumblebee-Robot_1281651540.jpg really digging both, loved the abnormal stripe patterning in alt mode and the exposed engine (cue a hot rod repaint/remold!).
ratchet: http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attach/4/0/5/9/7/Transformers-Prime-Ratchet_1281651540.jpg : i just really dig this desgin, nuff said.
Decepticon Trooper (a.k.a. cannon fodder): http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attach/4/0/5/9/7/Transformers-Prime-Trooper-Car_1281651540.jpg : other than the batmobile/ Movieverse lockdown aesthetic on this alt mode, i really dig this. if they make him a toy, he's gonna be troopbuilt.
Here's an idea, what if they made the TF: Prime models as fodder for botcon toys? They could then release variants to the general public. and maybe the botcon ones would only be slightly more show accurate.

#46: Commentary on official photos of Generations and HFTD thus far
links:
http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-generations-classics-30-35/new-official-transformers-generations-images-170404/
http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-movie-toys--products-30/official-hunt-for-the-decepticons-images-170403/
So basically this post is gonna run down eahc photo from each of the above links and give my thoughts.
Most of these figures we already know are coming out or ar all ready out, so yeah.
we'll start with Generations:
Pictures 1-3: Generations Blurr: Love this mold. love the guns and new head. i've already pre-ordered him.
pix 4-6: Cybertronian/WFC Megatron: Something about this figure just doesnt do it for me. ITs not the aestehtic or the character, i just dont like figure. and the alt mode looks like a glorified paperweight.
Pix 7-9: Cybertronian/WFC Soundwave: I like this guy. arms seems a bti spindly, but he oozes g1 so yea. bought later this fall.
the enxt 6 photos are WFC/Cybertonian Prime and Bumblebee, who ever already has and are great figures.
the 2 after that are of Straxxus (Darkmount), and yea this guy is bought. I'm worried about his ankle joint as usual, but what can i do.
Dirge: Pre-ordered. officially love this mold.
Red Alert: pre-ordered. love the mold and yeah. kinda wish the headcrest was red, like the henkei, but you get what you get for the $50 cheaper hasbro version.
and now onto the HFTD figures:
Axor: this remold/redeco is growing on me alot. though i still think he needs some detailing in alt mode.
Battle Blades Bumblebee and Prime: Nothing that blows me away. PAss
Breacher: WANT!!!!!!!!!
green legends devastator: meh, looks too green in combined form.
Banzaitron: Pass, the mold is tooo iconically bludgeon. I'll just wait for the botcon 2009 version to drop down in price.
DustStorm: Repaint of a legends mold i'm not too fond of. pass.
Electrostatic Jolt: I know people arent too excited for this figure, but something about me likes him. i'll get him if i find him. i do like the mold.
Elita-1: Pass. dont like the mold
Firetrap: never got the original deco (scattorshot) and i'm actually really diggin this name. hope he's out soon.
Hailstorm: Push missles aside this mold is rather ingenious for such a small deluxe. i especially love the transformation. pretty much bought later his fall.
Highbrow: wonky lower arms aside, i really like this mold and figure. Dont care for the mask gimmick, but yea. really like the figure and this update to the character.
Insecticon: WANT!!!!
Deluxe Ironhide: MEh
Oil Pan: weird name, meh figure.
Payload: not bad for a redeco.....
Deluxe ratchet: its a repaint of a crappy mold. pass
Sea Attack Ravage: like the mold. this is a useless repaint.
Sunspot: love the mold. might use this for troopbuilding the mold. if i see, i'm getting 2.
Terradive: slated to be ordered.. love this guy and his TRIDENT!
The Fallen repaint: Meh. removable face is nice, but meh.
Tuner Skids (legend and Deluxe): pass. this sis gonna be a shelfwarmer. apparently hasbro didnt get the cue from how poorly tuner mudflap sold.
Ravage infiltration threepack: is scattorshot repainted to Rollbar or Flak? is the Dune Runner Repaint Flak: the labelling makes it hard to tell
Victory of the fallen Legends 5 pack: Meh:
Thats it for me. comment below

#45, Protector comic digital copy, two more ROTF repaints
Hey all, more commentary. but first the sotry links.
Links:
Story #1: http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/classics-11/fansproject-protector-pack-in-comic-170386/
Story #2: http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-movie-toys--products-30/urban-camo-dune-runner-and-rampage-among-the-ruins-ravage-images-170388/
First up on the docket, Fansproject has shown us a digital copy of the pack-in comic wiht their upcomgin protector armor. in the comic, the names are obviously switched for legal issues, but the comic essentially tells the story of Rodimus Prime visitng the Tomb of eternal Heroes where he pays repsects to a "G3" clearly Optimus. This is a refreshing take on this g1 arc. I cant tell which version of megatron they use in the artwork, but it seems the artwork for prime is based off his classics 1.0 toy and comic form, which i'm not arguing with. The comic flahses back and retells the scene fromt eh 86 movie where Hot Rod intevrenes and attmepts to distract Megatron, which ends up causing the latter to do a fatal blow to Prime. Then, what appear to be the Matirx starts glowing from Protector (Rodimus Prime's) chest and re-activates something in the room. That something appears to be the trailer for G3 (Optimus Prime). But its not just the trailer that re-activates its something inside the trailer that does. Now, earlier Protector has previously referred to his help in avenging G3's (Optimus's) death. This help is known as "Guardian" and who knwo what that is, btu i have a sneaking suspicion its the vehicle that comes rolling out of Prime's trailer. now we all know, that little car never talked but was named roller and was tied to prime and his trailer as a scout drone in some episodes of G1. Then, Roller got his own, upgrade toy as "Battle Rollar" a few years ago, whihc i have yet to get, but is awesome. The toy was made by a third party company i believe, so if this is Fansproject's way of hinting they may do their own Roller figrue that transforms? Leave your feedback and dthought on the digital copy of the comic below.
Second up we get looks of a "Urban Camo" version of Dune runner and the paint scheme for ROTF ravage for the Rampage around the ruins set. So basically you get a bumblebee, who is redone frome one of his many ROTF versions, a Red ROTF Rampage and that Ravage in a set re-enacting a ruins battle from the movie where both decepticons got owned, especially Ravage. I dont mind the Ravage mold form ROTF, btu this is another pointless repaint based off a less than iconic scene in the movie. Plus, that bumblebee is not nearly big enough to be posed ripping Ravage apart. You'd need at least the Human Alliance one for that pose. I've heard Red Rampage is a crap toy and i really do not care for movieverse bumblebee so this Ravage, and everything abotu the three pack is worthy of a big ol' "PASSS!" for me. But on the Dune Runner Camo, I actually realy dig it, it looks really sharp on the mold. Still probably wont get it, as i'm aiming to find the beachcomber version of that mold at some point.
Lastly, to anyone who reads this, TFW2005 has posted that TFCC is doing a limited second run of their Punch/Counterpunch figure. If someone would be willing to hook me up with the figure ( i cant affored it right now), then i will be eternally grateful and can reimburse you for shipping in September. I'm not asking people for a toy.

#44: IGear copies Impossible Toys and first review of Generations Terradive
Story links:

Hey all, back for another post after non new stuff came up of TFW finally.
First up on the docket, we get a new 3rd party generation 1 arcee. after people were resoundingly underwhlemed by the Impoosible toys Valkyrie one, the folks at Igear took it into their hands to make on which they hope does better. Though, the packaging is eerily similar. and yea. She seems nice, but seeing as we knew net to nothin abotu her until earllier today, i'm on the "wait and see" bandwagon with her. the main dterrents for me right now are 1) how structurally sound she is (that sounds weird) and 2) how expensive she is. i know she has a considerable amount of diecast metal in her, but still, an amount just south of $100 for a limited run 3rd party figure of a character who has not had a good g1 toy in 26 years seemes a bit much to me. also, i'm a bit worried that theyre marketing her as "delicate warrior" that doesnt instill much confidence in me in the quality of the plastic. But, i want feedback from you all. comment below on this
The second story i'm gonna cover invilves more thoughts on Generations Terradive, who is on my list for september. A guy i know on youtube, and apparently a regular liasion to TFW as well, EmGo, posted his review of Terradive. I'm loving the engenuity of the the transformation and just everything about this figure. I'm loving the dark grey, almost gun metal paint app on the lower face, love how the front of the jet transforms in a new-ish way, while still retaining parts that are classic to the jet-former style. plus the trident is awesome. I'm totally displaying this guy next to Darkmount/Straxxus.
see you guys next post.

#43: More info on that universe 2.0/CHUG 3-pack, comments on Generations Terradive and Axor and electrostatic Jolt
so before i begin CHUG, for the uninitiated stands for "Classics, Henkei, Universe Generations", that is any figures from those lines.

http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-movie-toys--products-30/new-pictures-of-hunt-for-the-decepticons-axor-and-electrostatic-jolt-170360/ (Axor and jolt)
Lets tackle the target exclusive CHUG 3 pack link first. THis is just further images of each figure in the set in their new colors, which make them more accurate to their incarnations in the 1986 season 3 cartoon. I'm fine wiht this, but i've actually kind of cooled ff on the classics hot rod colors. Theyre nto bad, but i have to original and he's a bit better, and i dont care thta he is accurate to 25 years ago. suprisingly, the Galvatron scheme has grown on me. HE's veyr bland in alt mde, but thats what gundam markers are for, plus, lets hope hes not as bad as the orignal version was. Cyclonus i just love. I might get this pack, we;ll see.
As far as figures i know i'm getting go, lets talk about that second link. images of generations terradive. Love the look of him to say the least love the feautre poitned out on the trident that if you press the middle tab it acts as if its grabbing something.I'm honestly probably just gonna pose this guy holding his tirdent straight up next to him looking all badass. Cause he is. seems more orangey-yelow but i dont mind.
Lastly, lets talk HFTD Axor and Jolt. The GP (gold plastic) on Jolt's arms, legs and behind his head had me really worried, but this coloration still midly redeems this robot jesus of a figure for me. His orginal color scheme, wiht the baby blue was godawful. Though, i'm not feeling the "frosted crest". Another figure that has suprisignly grown on me is that Axor figure, who is apparently and homage to an action master of the same name. HE doesnt look too shabby, but the whitness on his legs and the monotone-ness of his alt mode scream for gundam marker help.

#42: A general update, Brief TF3 news and comments on HFTD Highbrow
HEy any readers of this. I've decided i'm gonna start numbering my posts on here. ANyway, a bit of updateness to start. Video review madness month starts when ROTF skystalker arrives and his review is posted. As such, i'll probably do a text review "extended impressions" of him and my other recent pickups (PCC huffer and Generations Thrust) this Friday after work ends. Thrust and Huffer wont be reviewed on my channel for sometime as i dont wanna flood people with videos, especially when i have TFA Rodimus, Generations Red Alert, and HFTD sidearm Sideswipe still coming down the pipe to me after skystalker. Though, i have cancelled my ROTF Brawn purchase and my Allspark almanac 2 purchaase had been bumped to October, so i may review Thrust or huffer this month.
Anyway, onto the stories.

and: http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-movie-toys--products-30/new-voyager-fallen-and-highbrow-images-highbrow-has-battlemask-170324/
First up, the TF3 news post. It seems theyre putting more and more autobots in this movie. i just hope some have some decent charcaterization or at least one line and not ROTF syndrome. We;ve seen a new, as of now unnamed red Ferrari ( my money is on Cliffjumper (Which negates the repaint of 2007 LAM bumblebee) or Rodimus/Hot Rod. we'll see, either bot needs decent charcaterization though. but at the firts of the above links we have images of a firetruck wiht autobot symbols on set. I'm getting either and Inferno or Ultra magnus vibe from this vehicle. Inferno mainly because if the firetruck form and Ultra Magnus because of the size (reportedly bigger than PRime). IF its UM though, his colorings are off, and not the white abd blue that he characteristically is. Could also be Hot Spot and there not be other Protectobot members. Hell, Silverbolt's in the flick allegedly and i havent heard mention of the other aerialbots.
I'm trying not to get too hyped.
Secondly, the second link. new images of the upcomign HFTD voyage Highbrow. Digging everythign but the battle mask. IT just doesnt work for me. It seems to not cover the entire face as well, leavingt eh mouth exposed. The head sculpt is kind of movie-ish so there's not bland, humanoid mouth expression, just a kinda creeoy mouth. I'm jazzed about the robot mode. I think the hands my rotate out further, cuase if theyre fixed like they are in the photos at the second link up there, thats a minro drawback for me. Sti;; really digging the alt mode and the overall feel of the robot mode. Love the guns too.
Thats all for me for now. See you next post.
