Hey all, or to anyone who reads this, I'm looking for for one last transformer to round out my ROTF collection of figures/ molds i want. I've got deals in place for brawn, lockdown and skystalker from that line, but i still need ROTF Mindwipe. Now i know this is asking alot cause he's a loved figure and he's a voyager, so he gets pricey after shipping. Adding to the trouble, if you want to sell him to me, i probably cant pay you until mid or late july and if you want to trade him for one of the below figures or video games, there'll be a delay on that as well. I wouldnt be able to send the figure until mid or late july or August. With the game i could probably send it around mid-july.
I do accept donated figures, and i would be so happy if that were the case. I'd prefer to strike a deal like the first 2 options with someone who collects and resides in the states because fo my income/budget and shipping. The video games, which are all for the Nintendo DS, i can ship abroad i believe.
HEre's the figs/ games i can trade: I'm willing to work out a trade, if you are too, i have movie 07 prime, movie 2007 landmine (both are loose but complete, Movie 2007 Leader Megatron (Loose and the arm mod was done on him), available for trade.

Ok so first up, PCC (power core combiners) wave 2: This's probaly hit in august or september. this continues the trend of me liking the look of the PCC scout figure with their "Targetmasters". in this wave, we have Leadfoot w/ pinpoint (essentially a mirage homage, Icepick w/ Chainclaw and Sledge w/ throttler. As individual figures, these guys rock, and for the most part, their torso modes are bad. Icepick's which we saw at botcon kind of looks like a squat sumo-wrestler, but i can dig it. IF i go into the PCC line im gonna focus on the scouts with the targetmasters and maybe get one or 2 of the five-packs which have been hit or miss so far. I like the look of all the scout 2-packs in PCC and scouts are pretty affordable, so yea.
Onto HFTD (hunt for the decepticons) wave 2: agian, due late august, or sepetmeber. I've already pre-ordered sidearm sideswipe cause its a new mold but its still sideswipe and he;s got guns now, and in there most recent webisdoe, hasbro explained this switch in waepons, and they fixed the feet on Sideswipe form the wheels, whihc makes me happy.so looking forward to this guy. The only other figure i dig in this wave is Hailstorm, a deluxe class tank. Nice looking robot and alt mode, and there a missle pod attached but it looks like the missile are pressure launch. I hate pressure launch missiles on figures. i'll try and still get this figure though.
last point: Masterpiece prime Sleep mode version is @ japanes retial. G1 commemorative Seacons update
So we're almost 3 days removed from botcon, and we already know about the commemorative seacon set. well more about it persay. Now i'm gonna be focusing on the mianline figures from the Generations/ hunt for the decepticons lines this fall and srping, so i dont know how soon i'm gonna get this set, if i do, but it's already on my holiday wish list.
I'm really likign the look fo this set and i'm alwasy reminded of a series of youtube videos a freind of mine did on each seacons and the final version, going into the character for each figure and the gestalt and wow. I'm in love with this combiner, a lot of the g1 combienrs have great characterizations. I'm very looking forward to getting my handson this gestalt one way or another

Resin prototype shots of cancelled TFA triple changing megatron
ok, so if you're into transformers and loved Transformers animated as much as i did, you're probably still slightly bitter at cartoon network for Cancelling the show before Season 4 and when their were still toys to come out. Hasbro is still trying to get all the toys they made out, and the shows been off the air for 2 years. That's annoyign enough as it is because everyone loves the aethetic and the charcaters so the way i see it, they'll still be releasing toys for the show 2-3 years from now.
Thanks Cartoon nNEtowrk for canelling thw show wayy before the second movie, when it could've just gone on hiatus for a bit while you ran some more crap porgramming. And there's unsolved questions wiht how it ended, granted those are supposedly answered in the allspark almanacs 1 & 2, but i dont have either, and dont know if i can afford the second one when it comes out. anyway, i digress.
Angst aside the point of this post is another awesome mold that got cancelled and will never see the light of day, at least we dont think it will. so, at this link: http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/animated-8/canceled-transformers-animated-triple-changer-megatron-resin-prototype-170078/ We have photos of a grey resin prototype of what was shceduled to be a triple changin megatron Figure named "marauder Meagtron. This thing looks friggin' sweet, and i want someone to get a hold of the resin and paint it and make it a limtied run (come on fansproject, you know you want to!) I'm loving everything about the mold, and the animated aesthetic really comes thru on the molding. Also, the triple changing aspect is interesting cause the last time Megatron had more than 2 modes was r.i.d/ car robtos where he was a 6-chaneger and then after becomgin Galvatron, he gained another 6 modes. grnated most of the other modes were crap on that toy, but thats a separate post.
I really like this marauder megatron mold. Who knows how it woulda played into the show had there been a fourth season. care to speculate? comment below.

Quick post on Transformers War for cybertron/ Cybertron adventures
So i looked up so videos of War for Cybertron/Cybertron adventures (the second one being the Wii title) bumblebee speaking cause there is listed, among the voice actors that Johnny Young Bosch voiced him.

Now, you may know Johnny Young Bosch as te Black ranger in Mighty Morphin power rangers. I believe he later became the Green Ranger. Anyway, he's also Ichigo in Bleach, which i have never seen. I took points against him as a voice actor for voicing Albert de Morcerf in the English dub of Gankutsuou: the count of monte christo (Awesome anime, mediocre dub, btu still look into it, there's only a few bad episodes) because his vocie for that charcater was a bit off and too young in my opinion.
So i went in to the above vids with a bit of hesitancy, but OMG does the voice he does for bumblebee work. It's youthful and energetic, but not too young. And its got a great range of emotion from what i've heard. I'm a happy camper.
So yeah, not much opinion, because its hard to explain how a voice works well for a Transformers character, but something about the two just click for me. Johnny Young Bosch should continue voicing bumblebee.
Anyway, thats it for me.

another btocon 2011 update.

Okk so non tfw linked post this time arpund and it's gonna be hopefully short.
So botcon 2011 was announced to be in PAsadena CA from june 2-5th next year. This makes me happy. there is big news on btocon on my front. As of fthis afternoon, i managed to book the hotel part of my convention experience. there is no amount of words that can describe how happy i am as i write this. This is the main thing i've been saving for, and i struck a deal wiht my folks taht i pay them back for about half of the cost. From there, i just need to save up enough money to pay for the convention i'm going for. that would be the "all the stops" package. also known as the Primus package. its expensive sure, but i dont know when the enxt botcon i can go to will be after the 2011 so why not?
in terms of airfare, that can be covered by miles on united airlines. So i just need to hope btocon either runs shuttles or i save enough $ for the cab. once there i'll need to pay for any non box set figures and the convention festivities like meet-ups, food and the dealer room.

Botcon 2010 Non-attendee thoughts part 7: HAsbro designers pannel
Man i wish i coulda gone this year. a lot fo awesome stuff has been revealed for the fall and onwards.

I'm amused by a scout class figure holding a gun from Recon Ironhide thats probably about as big as him. Even more amused by Windcharge attempting to hold Darkmount's pickaxe thing. I'm intrigued by this, but the gimmick has vast potential to suck. So we'll see. I like the fan-catering here.

lot to cover in this section. so here we go:
Skullgrin is the Darkmount (Straxxus Redeco Hasbro mentioned on Saturday. ITs a remolding too as supposedly there's a new ram-ish head. I'm very intrigued by this and i want photos. I would really like a skullgrin figure, even though i know nothign about the original pretender character.
Scourge: according to TFW this figure will be a straight homage to his g1 self (insert obligatory sweeps repaints). They're aiming for him to be a stalth jet thats mianly white (hopefully some blue like his g1 form) Like the original toy, the head will elevate in vehicle mode (I guess this was just a gimick on the orignal, dont remember it being used in the show) and his weapon will be a gun remiscent of both his orignial red gun thign on his head and his targetmaster. the toy wont be a targetmaster. I'm intrigued and very happy y this as there is no way i can afford the botcon 2009 scourge. I do want photos though of both modes and how the head elevates.
WFC Cliffjumper: a repaint of WFC Bumblebee but with "devil horns" according to hasbro. I'm intrigued by this, even though it was inevitable. hopefully it doesnt get scrapped and they give him a tweaked bio.
Thunderwing: apparently another G1 homage and update, i'm intrigued as i dont know much about this guy, as i never read the comics, where most of his g1 characterization comes from. Apparently the front of him is a detachable, non-transforming drone. I'm intrigued by this, hoepfully it wont compromise the main figure and will add play value.
Tracks: Finally! a non-alternators Tracks toy! I may pass on the alternators version just to get this guy. I'm hoping for a g1 accurate deco. Love this character and the g1 and alternators toy, and its about time he got an update. I'm especially enthused by the fact they're incoporating in his "flying-car mode". Which i will love ven if it sux.
Jazz: loving the g1 inspiration theyre goin wiht. especially on this guy, as they said his car speaker pop out in vehicle mode like in the orignial cartoon. I'm very happy wiht this announcement, as i love Jazz. I want photos though.
Perceptor. ARG! i just got the commemorative perceptor not too long ago! that being said, i do like the sound of this guy. Seems he has an alternat head thing as well according to the TFW2005 chat, which is intriguing. I wonder why. According to TFW, Perceptor will be slightly based on his animated show counterpart with an openign chest to "scan things". They're talking about re-decoing him into Reflector, who hasn't gotten a toy since g1. maybe that what the alternate head was for? but in the g1 toyline, reflector was 3 separate bots who came together and were a camera. so i dodnt see how they can make a microscope,truck, robto scientist guy into a camera wihtout remolding alot.
oh and before i go on, they're re-decoing/remolding the decepticon deluxe Hailstorm (which we dont have up close photos of yet) to an autobot named Mindset. We'll see on that one. Theyre also gonna re-decon RTOF branw as outback (Fallback). I'm intigued by this, but i think i would like a new head and some remolding on the lower torso.
Non-deluxes so probaly Voyager or up:
Grapple: a redeco and remold of universe 2,0 inferno, this thing will sell like hotcakes. love the character, so if there's still some around, i'll get him.
Lugnut: according to TFW, this fiugre will rock, and i'm excited based on the description: "new mold, WWII style bomber, looks amazing, very bulky". Lets just hope his robot mode is tallish and not short like his animated counterpart

Hsbro is planning a new Kup toy sometime soon, btu there are no futher details ( i smeel eihter a tf3 Kup or somehtign right at the end of Generations
The designers at the panel wanted to try and perfect the human figures and do updtae cassette bots at some point
Aaron Archer would love to revisit Beast wars again, and many of the fans would love it too, maybe then we'll get a good Rhinox toy!

Perceptor. ARG! i just got the commemorative perceptor not too long ago! that being said, i do like the sound of this guy. Seems he has an alternat head thing as well according to the TFW2005 chat, which is intriguing. I wonder why. According to TFW, Perceptor will be slightly based on his animated show counterpart with an openign chest to "scan things". They're talking about re-decoing him into Reflector, who hasn't gotten a toy since g1. maybe that what the alternate head was for? but in the g1 toyline, reflector was 3 separate bots who came together and were a camera. so i dodnt see how they can make a microscope,truck, robto scientist guy into a camera wihtout remolding alot.
oh and before i go on, they're re-decoing/remolding the decepticon deluxe Hailstorm (which we dont have up close photos of yet) to an autobot named Mindset. We'll see on that one. Theyre also gonna re-decon RTOF branw as outback (Fallback). I'm intigued by this, but i think i would like a new head and some remolding on the lower torso.

Grapple: a redeco and remold of universe 2,0 inferno, this thing will sell like hotcakes. love the character, so if there's still some around, i'll get him.
Lugnut: according to TFW, this fiugre will rock, and i'm excited based on the description: "new mold, WWII style bomber, looks amazing, very bulky". Lets just hope his robot mode is tallish and not short like his animated counterpart

botcon 2011 news!
Botcon 2011 was announced tonight to be in Pasadena California from june 2nd to the 5th. apparently hotel reservations are going up soon, which surprises me, isnt that stuff usually up around Christmas time?

So in my last post, i mentioned i'd like tos ee photos of Tomahawk's alt mode that were nto heavily photoshopped. Looks like i got my wish, as at the above link someone has updated wiht photos of Tomahawk in robot mode. Me likey. We still dont have a straight on shot of his headsculpt though, and in the photos its at an angle away from the photo. That being said, the only thing that's putting me off this figure is the feet, which seem a bit Meh and slightly unstable to me.

Botcon Non-attendee thoughts part 6: Fresh Display figures from the Botcon panel

Ok so we've got 4 figures that got added to the HAsbro display case. Two we've gotten highly photoshopped images of, and those would be Tomahawka nd Terradive, who we'll get to in a second. The other two are figures revelaed during the panel.
First up, one of the figures revealed during the panel. Highbrow, the twin boom fighter. I wanted photos, and i got them. now the original g1 highbrow was a mastermind in the headmaster era, and was very intelligent and a bit of a snob. His toy was a twin prop helicopter wiht a dominantly blue and gray color scheme. What we're getting wiht what appears to be Generations/Hunt for the Decepticons Highbrow is a bit different. We're getting a twin boom fighter with two props and a very respectable amount of armament. Is this more of a battle ready yet still incredibly intelligent Highbrow? We'll see once we get the bio. I'm surpsringly digging the alt mode. It seems like a modern update to that of the g1 character and toy. As for the robot mode, I'm mixed. LEts work our way up, most of the minor quibbles i have lie on the legs. The feet are nice and study looking, btu i'm a bit worried byt the amount of blandness on the shins. i'm seeing some riveting detailing and where the landing gear folds away, but i feel they could've done more.
To Highbrow's waist and crotchal region, I don't mind the look of this section, and the detailing is really nice, especially on the thighs and just above the waist in the abdominal area. Where i get worried though is the engineering of the waist in thea tit looks like its two halves the clip together. This system is abotu as likely to work as not, so we'll see. Now for the upper body: that looks fine and very nice. the lower arms seem to be a bit different in their look and joiting, btu i like it. I'm not sure how i feel about the headsculpt, but i think the mask on top comes down, so we'll see how he looks in reviews. I do like him alot though. Now all we need is a bio and a street date!
Tomahawk and Terradive: Was really digging these two guys even from their overly photoshopped previe photos. Terradive still looks awesome in both modes. Loving the head-mold and the trident. IT's a trident of awesome evil!. The yellow-orange is a bit offputting, but i dont mind it, just hoped he was more orange and black. As for Tomahawk, we strangely, as of now, have no display photos of his robot mode. Only his alt mode, which looks darn nice. As a guy on the WTF@TFW podcast said, Tomahawk seems to be an apology for Blazemaster. An aweseom apology at that. I would like to have seen some robot mode shots though. Unless i'm wrong, the only one we got was of his back and the "kibble" that could be present. This is fine, but his back looks tidy (that sounds weird). I want a full robot mode photo!
And now for the piece de resistance: Generations Blurr. OMG this thing looks awesome. I was happy when they announced this reapint/remold of Drift, as my only other Blurr figure is from the Animated line, and he's already showing some mold degrdation on the right leg and one of the shoulders. But onto Generations Blurr. I'm liking the alt mode alot. It looks fast, and that all you need from a car by the name Blurr. for the robot mode, i really have no issues, its really nice, He has a sniper rife and two pistols. The pistols i assume clip onto the doors, like the smaller swrods do on Generations Drift. With the rifle, it seems its two-handed which is interesting. Now the headsculpt can make or break an awesoem figure. And Blurr's while it didnt grab me right away, is growing on me. It still look very sleek, fast and the atennae thing at the top is very reminiscent of g1 blurr. I like the inclusion of the sniper rifle, and can just see someone writing a piece that include blurr running from sniper poitn to sniper point in battle very fast. But yea, this figure, due out in spetember i believ, is pretty much bought.

Transformers musings: Botcon 201 Non-attendee thoughts part 5: HAsbro Panel

so suppsedly theyre doing a twin boom fighter jet/ helicopter fot Hunt for the decepticons. This figure will be known as none other that Highbrow, an old headmaster who has not gotten a new toy since g1. I want photos now! This thing will go fast.
There may be a darkmount re-deco, lets hope it doesnt suck.
Generations Blurr! According to the chat, he's got a Sniper rifle and pistols. I assume the rifle will clip under the carm and the pistols will store in the doors, like drift's smaller swords. According to the chat Blurr's got a very nice design that is noticeably different from Drift. Extensive Remolding i hope. I want photos!
apparently the first wave of the two packs of PCC's (power core combiners) is higlighted by Searchlight w/ backwind, Huffer w/ caliburst and smolder w/ chopster. looks like wave 3 will be all re-decos for this line, hihglight by a black huffer. NEw team in this wavefor the 'Cons, the stunticons. so is the black huffer an attmept at a socut class motormaster/ homeage to motormaster? if the toy doesnt suck, i'm getting it. also we're getting a PCC protectobots wiht a White and Blue version of SMolder as an autobot for the torso. Cool, me want photos! most of the wave 3 re-decos will be of the five-pack scouts as standalone figures (interesting... has promise)
Dinobot PCC's: More info to come. IMHO, This has so much potential to suck hardcore.
Switchign up the PCC's for wave 3 so the double pack molds ae now in the five packs and vice versa. Drones are repainted for stunticons and protectobots, lets hope the drones are switched up. The Stunticon set looks to be a nice black and grey (Eh, we'll see how i feel about those colors). Stunticons called the Destrons for PCC, interesting.
no more robto HEroes sets for now.
soomeon got a non-commited answer on Animated. Oi vey. The prowl mighty mugg (mention in TF Musings Btocon stuff part 2.5) is an SDCC exclusive. IMO,bad call. I'm not paying $40-$50 for a mighty mugg, expecially prowl. If you're doign an SDCC exclusive Mighty Mugg, make it a rarer charcater.
two new human alliance figures in the fall: JAzz w/ Lennox and sideswipe redeco with different Mikaela. Again, Why Jazz? I need to see a review before i get him. Sideswipe re-deco is a pass.
back to the PCC's theyve switched it around so in the redco packs you get a miz of aerialbot and combaticon drones. so think 2 aerialbots and combaticons with each aforementioend wave 3 set.
no info on the seacon giftset. Come on!
The Searchlight repaintfor PCC wave 3 will be Windburn w/ Darkray. Awesome names.
Allegedly, hasbro looked at the fanbase and looked at what coincided btwn it and what they needed/ wanted to do and they wanted to make a tank and they'd wanted to do a voyager bludgeon for a while.
They're working with their manufacturers on rectifying QC issues.

Wow, just wow, i was following the livechat over on TFW2005 loosely for this, and i'm geeking out. mediocre news first
Aparently the network is controlling when the show premieres, the tentative date right now is 10.10.10, but dont look for that to hold.
ok now onto the good stuff:
the show will be character-driven, all CG, and will focus on What it means to be a prime. Additionally it seems the show will be more bot centered an there will be no cheesy human villians
Peter Cullen is voicing optimus. His Autobot mates on earth this go around include Arcee, Ratchet, Cliffjumper (wooo!!! Cliffjumper in a major-ish role!) and bulkhead (need to the the CG model for him, Is bulkhead becoming the modern day version of g1 ironhide?). As long as Bulkhead has a different voice actor, i'll be fine. apparently Arcee is a motorcycle and will look more humanoid. As long as she doesnt look like her ENergon or ROTF self, i'm fine with that. Apparently Prime's look is roughly similar to his WFC look but with a bit of a movieverse aesthetic.
Its in the movie continuity, the decepticon team we know of right now are MEgatron Starscream and Soundwave. Ya for soundwave, but apparently he's not a boombox, so ar ethe going more for the animated soundwave feel? Apparently Frank welker is voing Megatron (insert Fanboy squeal here), supposedly its more of a softer, subdued creepy evil voice. I'm stoked, but wanna hear what the voice sound like, though supposedly the voice from g1 is still part fo the range. Megs is a cybertronian jet with lots of firepower, apparently earth modes are beneath him (please no rehash of movie 1 Megs, please). Megs has classic buckethead, me likey.
26 episodes per season, theyre aiming for 65 episodes. If it starts later than october though, how can they crank out nearly 70 episodes before tf3?
Bulkhead is in the show (again hopefully with a new voice) because of their love for animated. Which was brilliant, buut i hope they give bulkhead a slightly more serious tone and a new voice. Something different from how he was in Animated and during the battles in Energon.
Prime is long nosed style truck.
Bumblebee is a tricked out sportscar like HotShot. Meg's vehicle is veyr aline but very sleek, reportedly like the movie version corssed with armada starscream. Interestign description, which movie jet do me mean, from tf1 or tf2?
Arcee is allegedly going to be a bit sassy and Cliffjumper will get his own charcaterization and look.

Transformers Musings: Botcon 2010 Non-Atttendee thoughts part 3
last btocon story for the day i promise. Actually its 2 stories meshed into this one post. just go to TFW2005.com and look at the "real-Life motormaster at botcon" and "Botcon 2010 ebay listings" posting.
First up, that second item, the ebay listings. I get it that the conventione figures are super rare and exclusive, but people on ebay are placing values on the figures that are 2 to 3 times more than what the figure costed upon purchase. I find this a bit absurd.
Secondly the Motoromaster story. The video is boring because its just a btoocn wokrign revving the engine aggressively so it fits wiht the motormaster personality. First up, that second item, the ebay listings. I get it that the conventione figures are super rare and exclusive, but people on ebay are placing values on the figures that are 2 to 3 times more than what the figure costed upon purchase. I find this a bit absurd.
Secondly the Motoromaster story. The video is boring because its just a btoocn wokrign revving the engine aggressively so it fits wiht the motormaster personality. Transformers Musings: Botcon Nonattendee thoughts part 2.5

Leader Starscream: looks nice, but i havent been blown away by the movie Starscream Aesthetic.
Voyager optimus prime (Battle Blades optimus): again, looks nice, btu i'm worried about the intricacy of the transformation and the necessity of this, seeing as the leader is so awesome.
Deluxe Dirge: Another Seeker that i want, as soon as he's announced formally with release date and such, he's going on the list.
Sidearm Sidwswipe: NEw mold, new weapons, Feet were fixed. Like the new color scheme and the transformation and the guns are a awesome touch. So posing this guy next to ROTF Brawn when i get both. pre-order Sidearm Sideswipe from Kapowtoys, so just waiting now.
Seaspray (voyager class see link above): Awesome looking figure, totally gonna get him very soon.
Darkmount (Straxxus) This figure is win. btu the Ankles are deterring me from getting him right away, plus it looks like we have visible hands syndrome in alt mode.
Blue (cyrotek-ish version) the Fallen: Ummm/ Why? unless the feet are fixed, this is a solid pass.
Human Alliance JAzz: Like the look, but why JAzz? he died in the first movie. I'm gonna wait til i see reviews though.
Mighty Muggs Prowl: WANT!
Thrust: a hasbro re-deco of the Henkei exclusive. This guy is already on my wish list.
Deluxe Rescue Ratchet: Wow, way to repaint a shitty figure, in a name thats already been used just to make money hasbro.
G1 Blaster Reissue: Awesome. This may be the easiest way for me to get a g1 blaster with most of his cassetticons. this guy is going on my wishlist and my target list for this year
Axor (name according to TFW2005): If this iss the White, Blue and Red ROTF Lockdown repaint, i'm going to hardcore pass on this guy. I dont know who Axor is, the modl is great, but the color scheme is not good, IMO
Generations Red Alert (Hasbro version of previous Henkei exclusive.) Minus the non red head crest and the recycled lightbar, this guy is going to be purchased because he will be abotu $40 cheaper than his Henkei counterpart
War for Cybertron Megatron: Liking the robot mode less now seeing these botcon photos. Dont like the alt mode. I'll be surprised if i'm swayed to get this guy.
War fro cybertron Bumblebee: Like. already ordered, thank you amazon.com
War for Cyertron Soundwave: Liking this guy a bit more now that i see how the front of the car claw things are simply on a hing joint. Lower arms seem a bti spindly, but i can look past that.
Generations Drift: Say what you will abotu the character, the toy is lovely in both modes and i seriously dig the engineering on this toy.
Granted the figures like Sidearm sideswipe, the voyager prime, leader starscream, Axor and a couple others will be under the Hunt for the decepticons moniker, but theyre all really with Generations.

All news from btocon, so lets get into it:
Firts off more info on the main figrues of interest from the lats post. The Seacon combiner team from g1 is being reissued, they're thinking its gonna be a store exclusive, but not sure where or ehat the release date will be. Needless to say, this set is goning on my wishlist for the holiday season. more pressing for me though, Animated Rodimus Minor and Ironhide. Ironhide was inevitable as soon as we got Cybertron mode Ratchet. Lets ignore the fact that in the first couple of photos Ironhide is mistransformed. This toy looks pretty nice. The one thing i dont like is the fact they included the Paddles that came wiht the aforementioned Ratchet figure. Ironhide, in the show, had the power of turning his body into and unpenetrable force of metal or somethign. So i'm gonna use that as his power/ weapon when i get him, nto the paddles BS, even if they hide part of the robot in alt mode.
Onto Rodimus Minor. I was already gonna order the Japanese transformers animated version of this guy, but then we founf out via the above link that these two guys are gonna be Toys r us exclusives in August. Rodimus looks very nice, and i just hope Bigbadtoystore comes around and posts these two guys for order soon cause the toys r us wbesite sucks for ordering figures and theres not a single one inside a 30 minutes drive at home or at school. the closest one at home is in sliver spring and is like 34 minutes away, and the closest one to school is in Dayton, which is about 50 minutes away. Well enough of my whining. I'm going to get this figure even if its the japanese version.
Next matter of business, the Power Core Combiners subline. The only figures that are peaking my interest still are the two-pack figures. Again see link above. We're talking huffer w/ caliburst, Smolder w/ Chopster, Searchlight With BAckwind, etc. The problem wiht this is to get the full play value out the line and use one of those guys as a torso for a combiner, i'll have to get one of the 5-packs, like Aerialbots, combaticons, or rallybots. But the first 2 sets mentioned are the only ones who remotely interest me. Plus, its disturbing that on all the figures, the connecting ports are all that annoyign light blue made popular by the first movie, the infamous "Allspark Blue". With the Rallybots and their wavemates, the destructicons, i'm nto digging the look of the combiend form, so i dont wanna have to pay full price for a figure i'm gonna be keeping in non combined robot mode while i use the drones for the other figures whose Torso modes i actually like, like Searchlight's or Smolder's.
With the two pack PCC's we're seeing, that i'm assuming are wave 2 for that subline, Sledge w/ throttler, Icepick w/ Chainclaw, and Leadfoot with Pinpoint, my feelings are mixed Sledge i like the look of, but again, the combination ports are horribly out of place cause of their coloration. I like sledge's individual robot mode, but i'm undecided on the torso mode. With Leadfoot, his combination ports in alt mode are fogiveable cause they kind of work with the overall look of the awesome car mode. the individual robot mode looks pretty nice as well, and vaguely reminds me of animated Scrapper. I also like the look of thr Torso mode, btu again, i'd need one of the fivepacks to get full value and yea see above. Lastly, on Icepick the alt mode is very nice and cohesive and i like how the ports actually work (in terms of their coloration) with the figure's colorization. The look of the Torso mode is just too hilarious for me to take seriously. in this mode, he looks too much like a sumor wrestler hunched over ready to lunge forward.

so im not at Btocon this year, but TFW2005 has prvided us with the first look at the first snapshots of what habro will have on display.

Now, i'm gonna be honest, after looking at most of the thumbnails, the only things exciting me are Animated Rodimus and Ironhide (IRonhide is either going on my october list or the holliday wishlist, Rodimus is being ordered in the fall for sure), as well as the g1 seacons re-issue. BEats me when this will be coming out, but yea this reissue looks really makes me happy and is totally goin on the x-mas list.
If anyone has and info on the release dates for theese guys or if anyone at the convention has the means to grab an extra one, i would be soooo happy.

Intro post: What this blog is
Ok so i got tired of posting notes on Facebook so starting from now on, i'm going to attempt to use this blog, which i set up wayyy back before my main one, as a transformers blog this. So right now it's gonna be mainly Botcon stuff. In the future i may do Text supplemental reviews here. So yea. thats the plan for now. so tnoght there's gonna be a triple post, this post, my first botcon post and the second one.
I will not be posting my inital angsty notes on all the transformers goodness comign out this july, august and fall. That's on facebook, but in short. i'm gonna stick with the Generations line and maybe go into the powercore Combiners line if somethign really grabs me. Anyway, to the next post!
